DORAVILLE -- Gwinnett County firefighters extinguished a tractor-trailer fire in Doraville Friday afternoon.
Crews reported to the scene on the 4300 block of Pleasantdale Road at about 1:50 p.m. Friday, finding heavy flames and smoke pouring from the cab and trailer of the truck, spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said. The driver of the truck had been preparing to back the empty truck up to a loading dock when the blaze erupted, Rutledge said.
Firefighters made quick work of the blaze, and had it under control in less than 15 minutes. It was contained to the truck and did not damage the nearby business, Rutledge said.
The exact cause of the fire was undetermined Friday. No injuries were reported.
