"I learned about the Everett family from Suwanee Councilman Jimmy Burnette when we served together on a Leadership Gwinnett project," Public Library Executive Director Nancy Stanbery-Kellam said. "From that moment on, I've kept my eyes open for an opportunity for the Gwinnett County Public Library to partner with the Suwanee Music Barn. The Suwanee Music Barn is a unique part of Gwinnett's precious artistic and musical heritage, and a perfect fit for the mission of our annual Fall Into the Arts program."
FITA's mission is to foster a sense of community in Gwinnett County through jointly sponsored arts programs and to encourage a lifelong love of the arts.
The night will be filled with bluegrass music from local groups inside and outside the venue. The Everett Family Band is headlining the show and will take the main stage at 8 p.m.
There is a set of rules to follow at the barn: "No drinking. No cussing. Be reasonably dressed." They like to keep a family-oriented atmosphere so that everyone feels safe and welcomed at the venue.
For those who have been to the barn before, they might remember the potluck atmosphere where everyone brings and shares food. For this event, there will be food for purchase instead. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets because seating is limited.
