Record: 4-2, 3-1 region

Last week: Had a bye

Shiloh Generals (8-AAAAA)

Coach: Brian Montgomery

Record: 1-6, 1-4 region

Last week: Lost to Archer 35-0

Shiloh has a quality win over South Gwinnett to its credit, but has struggled to get over the hump in the rest of its games. Archer controlled play throughout last Friday's matchup, handing the Generals their fourth region loss.

But Shiloh kept it close after falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter, then gave up two fourth-quarter TDs to make the score appear worse.

"Shiloh's got some good athletes," said Brookwood head coach Mark Crews, whose team was off last week to prepare for this one. "They're still a good team."

While Shiloh has been struggling, the Broncos have been playing their best football of the year. The defending Class AAAAA state champions have won three games in a row, with back-to-back blowouts vs. Central Gwinnett and South Gwinnett.

"Things got a little unsettled (with injuries), but we got that worked out before the Central game and since then we've played pretty well," Crews said. "We'll see how the off week affects us. We need to get ready to make a run instead of stumbling."

Conner Hennessey (seven tackles, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, QB hurry), Ramirez Galbreath (nine tackles, two QB hurries) and Javier Dyer (six tackles, one for loss) led Brookwood's defense in the win over South. The offense continues to go through Nick Tompkins and Jamaal Cole, who combined for 354 offensive yards and four TDs vs. South.

Last meeting: Brookwood won 44-0 last year
