Public sex charge could get teen deported

SUWANEE -- Having public sex in an upstart Suwanee subdivision could spell deportation for a 17-year-old Duluth resident who hails from Mexico, according to a police report.

An immigration hold has been placed on the teen after he was allegedly caught having sex with his 52-year-old church mentor, also from Duluth. Police arrested both suspects on disorderly conduct citations.

An officer patrolling a planned subdivision off Suwanee Creek Road and Buford Highway happened upon a 2001 Toyota Tundra parked near the back of the property about 7:30 p.m. Monday. Recently opened to the public, the property hosts one finished house and multiple lots for sale.

With lights flashing and a spotlight on the truck, the officer approached the vehicle and startled the males, who were partially naked and engaged in a sex act in the truck's extended cab, a Gwinnett police report states.

The teen, a Mexico native, reportedly gave police a false name. A background search indicated he was wanted on a failure to appear warrant in Duluth. Authorities placed a detainer on him for federal immigration authorities at the Gwinnett County Jail.

The elder man and owner of the truck asked police if his wife could retrieve the vehicle. After trying to make those arrangements, an officer called a tow truck and booked the man. He has since been released on bond, jail records show.
