Car show planned Oct. 22
SNELLVILLE -- The second annual Men of Grace Car Show is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 22 at Grace Fellowship Church, 1400 Dogwood Road.
The event will feature classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, VW's, motorcycles, tuners, sports cars, trucks and 4 X 4's.
Entry fee is $20 for car or truck ($25 day-of); $10 for motorcycles ($15 day-of).
Trophies, plaques and medallions will be awarded for all categories. The first 100 people registered get a T-shirt.
Admission is free for car show spectators.
Family activities will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and include a food court, games, inflatables, craft vendors and silent and live auction.
Admission is $2 for the fall festival.

Red Hat Society members meet at Discover Mills
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Discover Mills hosted a "Red Hat Rendezvous" Tuesday, inviting Red Hat Society members to attend.
The free event featured a complimentary breakfast in the food court, a best hat competition with prizes, giveaways and live entertainment.
The event was part of Discover Mills' "Celebrating Women," a month-long celebration designed to "honor and empower women to look and feel their best through fashion, personal style and self-expression."
Discover Mills is located at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway.
