LAWRENCEVILLE -- They've done the hard part -- now they just need your votes.
Employees at Gwinnett Medical Center have put together their "pink glove dance," a well-choreographed music video synced to Pink's "Raise Your Glass" and featuring nurses, doctors and technicians young and old doing their thing. As part of a nationwide contest pitting hospitals against each other, their video is now available online and ready to be voted on. The top three finishers will get big-money donations made in their name to the breast cancer charity of their choice, a prize furnished by contest sponsor Medline Industries. In GMC's video -- which can be viewed and voted on HERE -- hospital workers lip-sync and dance with their chosen song's upbeat lyrics, talent ranging from simple head-bobbing to backflips and breakdancing. With about 9,000 votes Tuesday, the video was in fifth place. All videos can be viewed at www.pinkglovedance.com. The first-place winner will earn a $10,000 donation to the charity of their choice, with $5,000 and $2,000 donations going to second and third, respectively.More like this story
