Glyndon P. Garner, age 80 of Norcross, died October 8, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel, with Rev. David Lyle and Rev. Ricky Houze officiating. Interment Peachtree Memorial Park. Mr. Garner was a native of Gwinnett County. He attended Pittman School in Duluth. He worked at the family sawmill (Garner Lumber Co.) and owned and operated Garner's Grocery and Service Station in the Pittman Community. He finished his career working for the Gwinnett County maintenance Department and was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Evelyn Garner, son and friend Allan Garner and Ann Thompson of Duluth, former daughter-in-law Maxine Garner of Duluth, daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Lamar Fuller of Suwanee, grandchildren Melissa and Hank Hankinson of Augusta, Sean Garner of Duluth, Shane and Lena Flowers of Lawrenceville, David and Kacy Fuller of Auburn, Kelly and Stanton Jacobs of Atlanta, Kyle and Abby Fuller of Buford, 10 great grandchildren, sisters Retha Lloyd of Palmetto, Grace Walden of Braselton, Eleanor Frank of Auburn, Ellen Riggins of Marietta, Carole Holcombe of Jefferson.
