SNELLVILLE -- Eastside Medical's Heritage Behavioral Health Center recently launched a program aimed at extending its spectrum of senior care.
The partial hospital program, or PHP, is a "highly structured, physician-monitored program specifically designed for members of the senior population that are experiencing behavioral health issues," Eastside spokeswoman Pattie Page said. It's basic goal is to improve a person's level of functioning and reduce symptoms to promote good mental health, she said.
Located on the Eastside Heritage Center campus at 2160 Fountain Drive in Snellville, the program runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
"Sometimes people need assistance to help them through periods of anxiety, depression or adjustments to life's changes," program director Ann Wilder said. "When these pressures become overwhelming for our seniors, there can be a negative impact on their lives. At Eastside Heritage Behavioral Health, we offer professional health and support."
