Gwinnett Daily Post
Officials with Gwinnett County Public Schools introduced a new, digital format for Communique, an information magazine for families, staff and community members.
The magazine's fall issue featured stories about 21st century skills, Gwinnett's eCLASS digital initiative, online learning options, arts integration and cross-curricular writing. Sloan Roach, executive director of communication and media relations, said that in providing the magazine format the district was responding to the needs of the community and district. "We know more and more of our parents and the community are getting information digitally, so this was a move that we thought would serve the community and school district well," she said. "It allows us to provide more information without the printing costs, and it gives us another avenue to provide more information," she added.
