Harold Eugene "Gene" Farrar, age 80 of Lawrenceville, died October 5, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel, with Rev. Sheri Smith officiating. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth. Mr. Farrar was born in Atlanta and was a retired printer, who worked at Equifax for 20 years and Stein Printing Company for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Claudene Smith Farrar, daughters Decie Farrar Bennett of Braselton and Carla Farrar Finlay of Duluth, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jan Farrar McHugh and a granddaughter Kate Bennett. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Genes memory to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends Sunday 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory Duluth Chapel 770-476-2535.
