Hitting the shelves just after a two week 3-D theatrical rerelease, this exquisite Blu-ray package is just the latest incarnation of Disney's highest-yielding cash cow and one of its finest productions. Pinching more than a bit from Shakespeare's "Richard III" and featuring one of Disney's most ominous villains (Jeremy Irons as Scar), "The Lion King" is about as intense as a "G" rated film can get yet while still maintaining a pure family-friendly experience.
