Archer won the first region game in school history last year when it beat Shiloh.

It's one of a handful of wins for the three-year program. The Tigers got their second region win two weeks ago against Berkmar. After a bye last week, Archer is trying to win consecutive games for the first time.

"In region play, we haven't won two in a row," Archer head coach Andy Dyer said. "If we can do that, we're in good shape."

Archer defeated Berkmar two weeks ago behind the strong running of Sean Fowler, who had 134 yards rushing and three touchdowns. The big night was helped by offensive linemen Romauld Kugbila and Hunter McClesky having big games. Kicker Zach Wachholz has also been solid, hitting all six PATs in the last game and is 10 of 12 on the season.

"They are a young football team. They remind me of us," Shiloh head coach Brian Montgomery said. "They're are not big, but they have a few athletes that can make plays."

Shiloh opened region play with a win over South, but since then has lost the last three games.

"It's just a challenge every week," Montgomery said. "We have to keep working at it."

Defensive lineman Tyler Claytor has been Shiloh's best player on defense in recent weeks, while receiver Clayton Smith had a nice game in last week's loss to Grayson.

"They are good up front. They are very athletic and can run to the football," Dyer said. "They are dangerous on offense and have some guys that can do some things with the ball."

Last meeting: Archer won 17-14 last year
