WINDER -- Four city of Winder firefighters have been promoted within their department, thanks in part to the recent promotion of Matt Whiting to Fire Chief in September.
Capt. Randy Wells, Lt. Jimmy Beck and Driver/Engineer Bryan Hall were promoted to their new ranks. Firefighter Nathan Shuler was also promoted to a full-time position from part-time.City leaders approve annexation, rezoningCity councilmen voted Tuesday to approve the annexation and rezoning of 5 acres located between 286 E. Wright St. and 500 Embassy Walk. The property owner, Howrd Plkymale, plans to build multi-family residential units on the site.
A rezoning for the .6 acre site located at 41 W. Candler St. was also approved by city leaders, with the proposed use being single unit low-density residential.
