Lance Cpl. John R. Wimpey Cagle, 19, of Tucker died Sept. 28 in Reg-e Khan Nesbin in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan while supporting Marine combat operations.
Family and friends can pay their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bill Head Funeral Home and Crematory in Tucker. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mountain West Church of God in Stone Mountain. Cagle will be buried on Friday at Empire Memorial Gardens in Empire, Ala.
Memorial donations can be made in Cagle's name for Wounded Warriors at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
He is survived by his father Johnny L. Wimpey of Lawrenceville, mother Carolyn A. Cagle of Tucker and brother Andrew L. Wimpey Cagle of Tucker.
