NORCROSS -- A Norcross man accused of fatally stabbing his ex-wife's new boyfriend remains on the lam and is considered armed and dangerous, police said Wednesday.
Gwinnett County police investigators believe 37-year-old Juan Valencia-Doroteo forced his way into his former spouse's unit at the Legacy Commons Apartments on South Norcross-Tucker Road at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday. A scuffle between he and 25-year-old Gerardo Puga-Puga -- the woman's new boyfriend -- ensued, and Puga-Puga was stabbed "several" times in the abdomen, police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter said. "Mr. Puga ran out of the apartment and collapsed outside," Ritter said. "Mr. Valencia left the area soon thereafter and has not been seen since." Puga-Puga was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he later died as a result of the stab wounds. Murder warrants have been issued for Valencia-Doroteo, who is not in custody and considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged not to confront the suspect and to contact Gwinnett County police at 770-513-5300 .More like this story
