DULUTH -- The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce will host its first-ever Healthcare Excellence Awards ceremony next month.
Aimed at "recognizing excellence, innovation and honoring the efforts of individuals and organizations making a significant impact on the quality of healthcare in Gwinnett County," the awards will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7. A total of about 50 individuals and organizations have been nominated in eight different categories: the advancements in health award, agency of the year, executive/administrator of the year, professional of the year, nurse practitioner of the year, philanthropist of the year, physician of the year and volunteer of the year.
