JEFFERSON, Ga. (AP) — Bed Bath & Beyond is expected to bring up to 900 jobs to Jackson County next year when it opens a service center that will handle the company's expanding online sales operations.
Gov. Nathan Deal announced the e-commerce fulfillment center should be operational by summer 2012. The 810,000-square-foot-facility to be located in the Walnut Fork Distribution Center is an estimated $50 million investment in the community.
Bed Bath & Beyond currently operates 29 retail stores in Georgia and has more than 1,150 stores. The company also plans to make considerable use of the Savannah port.
