CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Carl Jones scored 21 points to lead Saint Joseph's to a 66-53 victory over Georgia Tech in the Charleston Classic on Thursday night.
The Hawks (2-0) used a 23-9 run in the second half to take control and advance to the winner's bracket game against Seton Hall, which defeated Virginia Commonwealth 69-54 in the eight-team tournament. The Saint Joseph's-Seton Hall winner would then play in Sunday's night's championship game. Langston Galloway added 15 points and Halil Kanacevic had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks. Mfon Udofia had 20 points to lead Georgia Tech (2-1), which lost for the first time under first-year coach Brian Gregory. Kammeron Holsey had 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Yellow Jackets, who will take on VCU today.More like this story
