Four lanes of Interstate 85 were shut down during Monday's rush hour commute after a man jumped 23 feet from the Pleasant Hill Road overpass onto southbound lanes of traffic.
According to Cpl. Jake Smith, the man was alive after landing on the interstate. The extent of his injuries was not made available, but officials said he was not struck by a vehicle.
The subject was a Hispanic male and is believed to be about 25 years old, Smith said.
Four lanes of the interstate were shut down during an investigation after the fall.
