LAWRENCEVILLE -- Property tax bills are due Tuesday.
For the first time in several years, all bills are due in a single installment, although Tax Commissioner Richard Steele offered to accept an earlier partial payment, since the county has previously had two due dates.
Many Gwinnett residents pay their taxes through an escrow account with their mortgage company, although officials said that homeowners are ultimately responsible for making sure the bills are paid on time and should check with their mortgage company.
Residents can pay by credit card or e-check at www.gwinnetttaxcommissioner.com or at 770-822-8800, although convenience fees apply for credit card transactions.
Payments can be mailed to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046, or dropped at drop-off boxes at all tax commissioner offices, as well as in person during business hours at all tax commissioners offices.
