LAWRENCEVILLE -- A grand opening ceremony for the Little Shop of Arts and Antiques is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at 162 Crogan St.
The shop, which moved from Lilburn to Lawrenceville on Oct. 1, sells gift items and antiques.
Writing classes, book signings, art openings, book clubs and open mic nights also are hosted at the location. In addition, the Little Shop of Arts and Antiques is the home of the Gwinnett County Writers Guild.
Started by the shop earlier this year, the Gwinnett County Writers Guild meets twice a month. Lilburn author Emilie P. Bush hosts the club.

ATLANTA -- United Way has partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps for its 2011 Toys for Tots campaign.
From Nov. 25-Dec. 23 donors can drop off new, unwrapped toys at any Publix Super Market in metro Atlanta. The goal is to collect 750,000 toys, "so that no child is left without a present under the tree."
United Way also is providing a link for families to request help. By calling 404-614-1000 or by going to unitedwayatlanta.org, families can be connected to authorized agencies in their community to request toys.
Those wishing to volunteer with Toys for Tots can log on to www.atlantatoysfortots.com. Shifts are available for sorting and distributing at the toy warehouse in Gwinnett.
Toys for newborns through age 14 are needed. Gifts for ages 11-14 typically experience shortages, so please consider board games, basketballs and electronics for this age group.
Gwinnett Gab appears in the Thursday and Sunday editions of the Gwinnett Daily Post. To submit an item to Gwinnett Gab email firstname.lastname@example.org.
