DACULA FALCONS
Boys
Region: 8-AAAAA
Coach: B.J. Roy
2010-11 record: 13-12
Returning regulars:
Xavier Okoro, Sr., 6-2
Anthony Morse, Sr., 6-7
Brandon Goodson, Jr., 5-10
Others to watch:
Will Searcy, Sr., 5-10
Alex Armah, Sr., 5-10
Jaylen Williams, Jr., 6-0
Clyde Niba, 6-3
Outlook: The Falcons return three starters, including honorable mention all-region choice Xavier Okoro. He averaged team highs in points (11.0) and rebounds (7.4) last season, when Dacula lost to Brookwood in the region quarterfinals and missed out on the state tournament. The Falcons also return Brandon Goodson, who averaged 7.3 points, and Anthony Morse, who contributed 6.8 rebounds per game.
Worth noting: Dacula Middle School won a division title and was unbeaten until losing to Sweetwater for the county championship last season. D.A. Clark and Logan MacIntyre will see some varsity time as freshmen. Two other players from that team are attending high school elsewhere, however. Keyshawn Gibbs, who scored 38 points in the county championship game, is at St. Francis and Jonathan Hawkins at Central Gwinnett.
