Three Brookwood baseball players to sign with colleges

Three Brookwood baseball players who have committed to college programs will be honored Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Broncos' commons area.

Lucas Sims will sign with Clemson after hitting .429 with three home runs and 21 RBIs last season, in addition to going 4-1 with three saves and a 2.38 ERA as a pitcher. He is the son of Jean and Wayne Sims.

Clint Carr, the son of Beth and Peter Carr, will sign with Valdosta State. He hit .378 with two homers and 11 RBIs as a junior.

Michael Gouge, the son of Liz and Mike Gouge, also will sign with Valdosta State. He hit .378 with a homer and 18 RBIs last spring.
