Parkview seniors Edwin Arias, Jack Esmonde and Matt Olson will be honored Friday for signing letters of intent with college baseball programs. The event will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Panthers' commons area.
Arias is headed to North Georgia, Esmonde to Georgia and Olson to Vanderbilt. The trio led Parkview to the Class AAAAA state title this past spring.
Arias hit .458 last season with seven home runs and 34 RBIs and Esmonde hit .409 with 20 RBIs, in addition to going 4-1 with four saves and a 2.76 ERA as a pitcher. Olson hit .426 with 17 homers and 53 RBIs, went 8-3 with a 3.65 ERA as a pitcher and earned Gatorade state player of the year honors.
