Crazy, Stupid, Love. Blu-ray (PG-13)
Movie: 3 stars out of 4
Disc: 3 stars out of 4
Luckily bearing little resemblance to the beat-into-the-ground trailer that advertised it for months, "Crazy, Stupid, Love." is still the smartest, funniest and sexiest romantic comedy so far this year. Anchored by the polar opposite co-lead performances from Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell, "CSL" is decidedly adult in attitude and approach but never loses sight of its core demographic (females) by staying lighthearted and playful. The skimpy extras are just OK but this is also one of the first discs to include the online-only "Ultraviolet" digital copy option.
Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p/2.40:1), audio: English (DTS-HD MA 5.1), French, Portuguese, Spanish and Thai (5.1 Dolby Digital), subtitles: English and seven other languages.
Special features include:
2 featurettes
Deleted scenes
Alternative ending
Additional DVD and Ultraviolet digital copy disc(Warner Bros., $35.99)
