Robert Bruce Clark, 88, a 78 year resident of Bradford, Pennsylvania, and the last ten years a resident of Dacula, Georgia, went home to his Lord and Savior on October 18, 2011 in the Gwinnett Medical Center after heart failure. He also suffered from prostate cancer and Alzheimer's disease. He was loved and respected by his family and will be greatly missed by his many devoted friends. He was born on June 14, 1923, served in the United States Marine Corps from 1943-1945 where he was awarded the Purple Heart ribbon, the Presidential Unit Citation ribbon, the American Campaign medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal, the World War II Victory medal, the Marine Corps Sharpshooter Rifle badge, the Honorable Service lapel button and the Marine Corps Honorable Discharge button. His many organizations include Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) "Life Member; American Legion Post #108" Life Member - Past Commander; Disabled American Veterans (DAV) McKean County, PA, Chapter #72 "Life Member; Forty & Eight" Past Chef-De-Gar, American Legion Bi-County (McKean & Cameron Counties) "Past Commander; Fourth Marine Division Association" Life Member; Union Lodge #334 F&A.M." Life Member; Blue Lodge "Fifty Year Member; Valley of Coudersport, PA Consistory" Fifty Year Member; Zem Zem Shrine of Erie, PA "Life Member; McKean County Shrine Club" Fifty Year Member "Past President; Allegheny Shrine Club; McKean County Road Runners" Charter Member; Zem Zem Temple Motorized Units; Zem Zem Legion of Honor; Royal Order of Jesters, Court #58; Kachina Billiken Club; and Orak Grotto "Fifty Year Member" Past Monarch. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Pauline (Bairunas) Clark, his mother Edna (Gilbert) Clark, his father William Bruce Clark, his brother Howard Clark, and his sister Donna (Clark) Zandi. Survived by his brother Jack Clark of Calabash, NC, his daughter Carol Lynn (Clark) Hall of Dacula, GA; his son Thomas Clark of Snellville, GA; his niece Sherry Barnes of Blue Ridge, GA; his nephew John Clark of Shallotte, NC; his grandchildren Steve Miller, Robbie Clark, Jimmy Clark and Michelle (Clark) Mullins; his seven great-grandchildren, his second wife Louise (Fugett) Clark of Bradford, PA; and his third wife Carol (Milliron) Clark, who resides in Easton, PA. A service celebrating Robert's life will be held on November 1, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, 1450 Pine Road, Dacula, GA. Pastors Jason Mincey and Matt Tuggle will officiate. After the memorial a reception will be held in the Great Room at the church. Food and refreshments will be provided by the Kitchen Angels of the Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church of which Carol Hall is a member. A burial service will be conducted in Bradford, Pennsylvania, on November 5, 2011 where he will be laid to rest by his first wife, Helen, who is the mother of his two children, Carol Hall and Thomas Clark.
