DULUTH -- The city of Duluth expects more than 5,000 visitors to its inaugural Alive! Festival this weekend.
The festival aimed at promoting "all things natural, green and healthy" is a sister event to the Alive! Expo, Atlanta's largest natural products and green living event. Its goal, according to Duluth, is to "educate attendees on how to integrate health and wellness, natural, green and eco products into an environmentally responsible everyday lifestyle."
Over 50 natural and organic vendors and a sustainable locally grown farmers market will be main attractions for the free event held Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event will be held on the town green in downtown Duluth, 3142 Hill Street.
The festival will benefit Project Green, a new Atlanta nonprofit whose goal is to invest in and protect green-space across the Southeast.
