Longtime Atlanta sports writer Furman Bisher, a current columnist for the Daily Post, was selected as one of the inaugural inductees into the Atlanta Press Club Hall of Fame.
Bisher joins former CNN president and ex-publisher of the Los Angeles Times Tom Johnson, longtime WSB-TV anchor John Pruitt and Alexis Scott and the Scott family, the publishers of the pioneering newspaper, The Atlanta Daily World, in the inaugural class. The honorees will be inducted Sept. 22 in a banquet that is open to the public and benefits the club’s scholarship fund.More like this story
