Brookwood grad Ross Heffley, a junior at Western Carolina, racked up a handful of honors this week. The infielder was named to the All-Southern Conference baseball team by the coaches and the media, in addition to earning SoCon player of the week honors.
Heffley enters this week’s conference tournament with a league-leading .436 batting average. He also leads his team with 10 home runs and 62 RBIs. He earned his second SoCon player of the week honor this season on Monday, when he was rewarded for going 7-for-10 with two homers the previous week.More like this story
