Providence Christian grad Mookie DeMoss, a college golfer at Mercer, shot 72 Tuesday at the River Club to earn the last of eight spots at U.S. Open local qualifying.
The Duluth resident moves onto 36-hole sectional qualifying June 6 at Hawks Ridge Golf Club. Sweden's Tobias Rosendahl, a Georgia State grad, shot 68 to earn low medalist honors in the local qualifier.
Duluth resident Jordan Janico, who plays for Vanderbilt, shot 73 and won a playoff for the first alternate spot.
