Noble Village to host presentation by Georgia Cares

SUWANEE — Noble Village, a senior living community, will host a presentation by Georgia Cares at 2 p.m. Monday.

The presentation will provide an overview of Medicare and Medicaid insurance fraud.

The event, which is open to the public, will take place in Noble Village’s theater. The community is located at 1220 Satellite Blvd., Suwanee.

Courtyard Gardens collecting items for tornado victims

LAWRENCEVILLE — Courtyard Gardens, an Emeritus Senior Living community, is accepting donations to assist tornado victims throughout the region.

The community will be collecting items through June 30 to benefit the Red Cross and its efforts to help all those affected by the devastating storms.

Acceptable items include clothes, food, towels, blankets and nonperishable food.

Donated items can be delivered to 1000 River Centre Place, Lawrenceville.

Arts in the Park set for Saturday

SUWANEE — The annual Arts in the Park festival, organized by the North Gwinnett Arts Association, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday in Suwanee’s Town Center Park.

The event will feature more than 40 juried artists who will exhibit their work and demonstrate their craft, as well as a full entertainment lineup. Art forms will include pottery, jewelry, painting, photography, writers and elemental art.

The headline performer, ZydeFunk featuring Charlie Wooten, will take the Town Center stage at 5 p.m., with the festival ending about 6 p.m.

The festival will also include a Chalk Walk competition, open to self-styled artists of all ages and separated into four divisions: elementary, middle school, high school and advanced. Registration is $20 and is available online at www.suwaneeartsinthepark.com or at the festival until spaces run out.

Admission is free, but visitors should bring money for art and food purchases.
