BUFORD — Buford High School students posted the school’s highest-ever passing rate on the spring administration of the Georgia High School Graduation Test.

Buford High School principal Banks Bitterman said 95 percent of test-takers passed all four sections of the test. The exam is administered to 11th-graders.

The school had a 100 percent passing rate on the science portion of the test. Ninety-eight percent passed language arts, and 97 percent passed both math and social studies.

The Georgia Department of Education released state results on the graduation test this week, but school-level results will not be released by the agency until early June.
