WINDER -- A long-term investigation produced 29 drug-related arrests in Barrow County Tuesday, officials said.
In recent months, narcotics officers from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office and Winder Police Department made approximately 80 undercover purchases from 40 different offenders, spokesman Matt Guthas said.
On Tuesday, representatives from those agencies, as well as the Auburn and Statham police departments and state probation and parole officers, swarmed through Barrow County serving arrest warrants on all 40.
By the end of the day, 29 suspects had been taken into custody. Officials are continuing their search for the remaining 11 offenders, Guthas said.
