LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Lawrenceville Tourism and Trade Association is gearing up for this year's Moonlight and Music Concert Series in downtown Lawrenceville.
Held on the fourth Friday from May through September, the series will feature classic rock, bluegrass, blues, Motown and the return of Grammy-nominated national artist Shawn Mullins.
As Lawrenceville's largest outdoor concert series, Moonlight and Music attracted more than 15,000 people last year. This year's series is sponsored by Hayes Chrysler Dodge Jeep.
"The LTTA is proud to announce the exciting music lineup for the 2011 Hayes Family Moonlight and Music Concert Series, but also grateful for this year's near partnership with Hayes Family Dealerships," said Jay Markwalter, LTTA executive director.
The concerts are held on the lawn of the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse and are free to the public. For those interested, table rentals are available with prices starting at $65. For more information, call the Lawrenceville Visitors Information Center at 678-226-2639.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner or visit one of the restaurants on the downtown square for catering or take-out packages. Alcohol is not allowed on the Courthouse grounds.
The concert lineup is as follows:
8 p.m. May 27: Rack of Spam, a Motown band
8 p.m. June 24, Shawn Mullins
8 p.m. July 22, Eric Culbertson
8 p.m. Aug. 26, North Georgia Bluegrass Band
