AUBURN — A Bethlehem man was killed when his motorcycle left the road in Auburn Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Michael Sewell, 24, is believed to have been driving his Honda motorcycle on a curved part of Mount Moriah Road just before 4 p.m. Tuesday when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway, Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter said. Sewell went into a ditch and struck a culvert, suffering life-threatening injuries before being transported to Gwinnett Medical Center. He later died from injuries sustained during the single-vehicle accident, Ritter said. According to his Facebook page, Sewell was a 2007 graduate of Grayson High School and had been a member of the United States Marine Corps since 2009. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be contributing factors in the accident, Ritter said.More like this story
