Grayson's Nkemdiche, Central's Johnson named All-Americans

Grayson defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche and Central Gwinnett linebacker Trey Johnson were selected to ESPN Rise Sophomore All-American team last month.

“Each player has to have done something special that makes them already known by college recruiters,” the press release said.

Nkemdiche and Johnson, who have already picked up several Division I scholarship offers, were the only Georgian’s named to the first-team defense. East Paulding running back Kamani Thomas, Stephenson defensive lineman Reginald Carter, Troup County linebacker Rueben Foster, Houston County Bradley Newkirk and Eagle’s Landing Christian running back/defensive back were selected to the second-team.
