PREP ROUNDUP: Hebron wins thriller at Coolray

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Playing in the best stadium in Gwinnett County, Hebron provided one of the best finishes of the year.

Danny Lockhart ripped a single to center field in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Lions a 3-2 comeback win Saturday against George Walton at Coolray Field.

Christian Davila scored the winning run for Hebron (10-1, 5-0). Lockhart finished 3-for-4 and scored the other two runs. The second run came on Seth Gower's game-tying double in the sixth inning. P.J. Westbury was 2-for-3.

Relief pitcher Mason Felt (10-1, 5-0) pitched four no-hit innings of relief to get the win. He allowed one unearned run and struck out eight.


Grayson 8, Providence 3

LILBURN -- Clay Ardeeser hit a homer as Grayson knocked off Providence 8-3 Saturday.

Ardeeser and Austin Hayes each went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Rams (7-3). Kyle Streicher went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Austin Meadows allowed one hit in two scoreless innings to get his first win.

Christin Stewart went 2-for-3 an a double and a stolen base for the Stars (4-6). Austin Smith and Alan Skinner each added a double. Glen Williamson was the losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 61/3 innings.

GAC 11, Decatur 9

DECATUR -- Patrick Schultz hit two three-run homers and was the winning pitcher as Greater Atlanta Christian beat Decatur 11-9 in eight innings Friday.

Schultz (1-0) pitched three innings of relief to get the win. Jordan Dudek went 3-for-6 with a double for the Spartans (6-3, 1-1). Ross Wood went 2-for-5 with two RBIs.


Brookwood 4, McIntosh 2

SNELLVILLE -- Brookwood took care of McIntosh 4-2 on Saturday. Allie Vrtachnik, Washida Blackman, Rachael Schmidt and McKenzie Fisher each scored for the Broncos (8-3).


Hebron 9, GMC 0

DACULA -- Josh Manga had two goals and an assist in Hebron's 9-0 win over Georgia Military College Saturday.

Austin Pinto added a goal and an assist for the Spartans (8-2-2, 3-1). Kevin Sharpton, Cole Redman, Bailey Pinto, Andrew Thompson and Ryan Noteis also scored. Brian Oduro added two assists, while Harrison Dunahoo had one. Goalies John Foley and Tyler Smith combined on the shutout.


North Forsyth 8, Norcross 6

CUMMING -- Davis Diamond scored three times in Norcross' 8-6 loss to North Forsyth on Saturday. Charlie Rhea added two goals and an assist for the Blue Devils. Chris Morgan scored once.
