ATLANTA — A bill giving residents of Peachtree Corners the ability to form a city passed its first hurdle Wednesday.
The state House of Representatives approved the measure, which would set a referendum for later this year to consider becoming Gwinnett’s 16th city. There are still several more steps before the northwestern Gwinnett community could form a city of more than 30,000. The bill now goes to the Senate.More like this story
