Charles Luther Blackmon, 73, of Lawrenceville, GA, died March 13, 2011. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18th, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 17th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Blackmon retired from the GA Dept. of Labor – Safety Division and helped start the Gwinnett County YMCA Soccer League. He is survived by his wife, Florence Blackmon of Lawrenceville; son, Kane Blackmon of Pascagoula, MS; daughters, Annette Hedgepath of Snellville and Tina Morton of Raleigh-Durham, NC; sister, Janet Blackmon of Lawrenceville; granddaughter, Stacy Haeseler; great-granddaughter, Alannah Larimore; one niece, one nephew; and several cousins.
