Mr. W. A. Buice, age 62, of Cumming, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Artis and Louise Buice; sister, Frances Buice Gilstrap; and brother, Jackie Buice. He is survived by his sister, Evelyn Buice Smallwood, Suwanee, GA; son, Donald Buice, Torrington, CT; daughters, Virginia Cianicolo, Torrington, CT and Allison Lorner, Maysville, GA; six grandchildren; aunts, Virginia Jean Staton, Suwanee, GA and Betty Pugh Buice, Buford, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Angie Luna, Cumming, GA, Michael Powell, Cumming, GA and Melanie Dennis, Cumming, GA. Mr. Buice was born May 9, 1948 in Buford, GA. He was a 1966 graduate of Buford High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had worked for the Forsyth County News and the Atlanta Journal newspapers for a number of years. He was of the Baptist Faith. His request was to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buford American Legion Post 127 in memory of W. A. Buice.
