Police: Teen caught dealing drugs at school

LAWRENCEVILLE — Police arrested a Sugar Hill teen this week on charges he was selling drugs on Peachtree Ridge High School grounds.

Michael A. Perkins, 18, is charged with two counts of drug possession, marijuana possession with intent to distribute and drug possession within 1,000 feet of a school.

All charges are felonies, according to Perkins’ arrest warrants.

A Gwinnett police officer allegedly found an 11 gram bag of marijuana and three 1.5 gram bags in the center console of Perkins’ vehicle.

Police also found him in possession of dextroamphetamine, a stimulant used to treat attention deficit disorder, and percocet, a narcotic pain killer, the warrants state.

Jail records indicate Perkins attends the high school. He remained jailed on $25,550 bond Tuesday afternoon, records show.
