LAWRENCEVILLE — Georgia Gwinnett College has received a five-year pledge of $50,000 from the Milton M. Ratner Foundation of Franklin, Mich., for the establishment of an endowed scholarship fund.
The fund will enable GGC to award a partial scholarship to a student with demonstrated financial need. The scholarship fund will be built to endowment over five years, with the first scholarship to be awarded in 2016. “We are deeply appreciative of the Milton M. Ratner Foundation’s interest in supporting our students,” said Gordon Harrison, vice president for advancement and president of the GGC Foundation. “The Ratner Scholarship will be a welcome addition to our expanding list of available scholarships.” The Ratner Foundation was granted charitable status is 1969. Its purpose is to support children and youth, community development, health, historical societies, medical research, education, museums, religious organizations, residential care, social and human services, and sports and recreation.More like this story
