Eugene Robinson’s column (“GOP not inspiring with possible ’12 candidates,” March 3, Page 6A) gives his analysis of possible 2012 GOP candidates as uninspiring and unelectable. He believes that none of the names mentioned in his article possessed the “formidable political skills” or “has political gifts that approach Obama’s.”
Unfortunately, he may be correct. It is really sad if these are the only attributes that voters will use to make their choice for president. However, most voters, hopefully, have learned from this administration’s performance and will consider other candidates’ characteristics such as experience and leadership. It would be nice to elect someone that has run something other than “for election.” All of the “unelectables” do possess this attribute. — Bob Pietruszka LilburnMore like this story
