SNELLVILLE -- The Gwinnett police bomb squad responded this week to what one resident thought was a grenade in a creek behind her home.
The grenade, turns out, was a toy.
The caller, a woman who lives on Forbes Trail in Snellville, called police to report the alarming object Monday afternoon.
Uniform officers then called in the explosive ordinance disposal unit,
who determined the grenade to be a toy and destroyed it, police said.
