LAWRENCEVILLE -- Police have charged a Lawrenceville man with robbing his pregnant girlfriend at knife-point and thieving computer equipment from her.
Lawrenceville police arrested Johnny Houston, 22, on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, theft by taking and false imprisonment on Wednesday.
The alleged victim, Stephanie Shackelford, 23, told police the couple began arguing Saturday afternoon after Houston said "she had ruined his life because she was pregnant," an officer wrote in a police report.
Houston pinned his girlfriend to a doorway, a knife to her neck, until she eventually broke free and sat in the driveway of her Forest Place home, Shackelford told police. Houston left the home with her laptop and failed to return it, the report states.
Shackelford decided to press charges after some initial hesitancy, and police secured warrants for the four felony charges.
Houston remains jailed without bond.
