Georgia Tech's Guillermo Gomez and Georgia's Wil Spencer have been given wild card spots into the qualifying draw for the upcoming Atlanta Tennis Championships, scheduled for July 16-24 at the Racquet Club of the South in Norcross.

Gomez, a native of Spain, recently graduated from Tech, where he was a three-time ITA All-American. He was ranked as high as third nationally and finished his career with a school-record 119 singles wins. Spencer, a rising senior at UGA, also earned a spot after helping the Bulldogs to the NCAA semifinals this past season.

Tech's Kevin King and Georgia's Drake Bernstein, a Winder-Barrow grad, also received a wild card entry into the tourney as a doubles team.

Former UGA player John Isner already had a singles spot in the event.
