ATLANTA -- Matt Horth struck first for the Silverbacks, but the first-place RailHawks did the rest of the scoring in a 5-1 win Saturday.
Horth found the net in the 10th minute off an assist from Conor Chinn. It was his team-leading third goal of the year and Chinn's first assist for Atlanta (1-10-2, 5 points).
Etienne Barbara equalized the game in the 21st minute for the RailHawks (11-1-1, 34 points). The forward controlled a pass from Matt Watson, beat Atlanta's Patrick Robertson with some footwork and slid the ball past Lawrenceville native Jimmy Maurer to put the game at 1-1.
Eight minutes later, Carolina added what would be the game-winner. Nick Zimmerman put a bending left-footed shot past Maurer from outside the box, giving Carolina the lead for good at 2-1.
Chris Nurse scored a goal in the 36th minute to pad Carolina's lead. Zimmerman and Brad Rusin scored second-half goals to complete the scoring for the RailHawks.
Carolina has won eight in a row and hasn't lost in 12 straight.
