BRASELTON — The Fourth of July fireworks in Braselton, one of the town’s most popular events, is changing venues this year.
Traditionally, the event has been held on Ga. Highway 211 near the entrance to Chateau Elan. Because that tract of property is primed for development, the fireworks location needed to change, according to a news release.
This year, the fireworks display will move to downtown Braselton, right off of Ga. Highway 53 at the West Jackson Intermediate School.
The new venue will allow the fireworks to be seen from both the Braselton and Hoschton parks, as well as the Braselton Town Hall, the news release states.
The fireworks will be set off about 9:30 p.m. July 4 and will cap off a day of festivities in the town.
The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade down Ga. 53. Live music will be performed in the park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
