BUFORD -- A 29-year-old Buford man died early this morning in a one-vehicle crash near Interstate 85, police said.
Police identified the victim as Daniel Walker, who was alone in a 2000 Honda Accord during the 2:12 a.m. crash.
Investigators believe Walker was driving eastbound on the Buford Drive entrance lane to I-85 south when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove into a field, striking a tree.
Walker was not wearing a seat-belt and died on scene from his injuries, Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter said.
Investigators believe that alcohol may be a contributing cause for the accident, Ritter said.
An investigation continues.
