Train strikes car in Winder

WINDER -- One victim was transported to the hospital with injuries following an accident involving a train and car in Winder on Tuesday afternoon.

City of Winder firefighters responded to North Beulah Street at about 12:50 p.m., finding that a train had struck a single car carrying two men and one woman. Only one of those passengers, who have not been identified, was taken to the hospital, Winder Fire Chief Ray Mattison said.

That victim's injuries were not life-threatening, he said.
